Experience
I have 2 years’ experience working with children as I started working at OUAT in September 2020. I have taught in the three-year-old class and am currently teaching two-year-olds.
In May 2020 I graduated from Florida International University with my Bachelor’s degree of Science in Early Childhood Education. I am CPR, First Aid and SCARS certified.
I describe myself as someone who strives to provide a creative hands-on learning experience for the children. I enjoy engaging with the children as they play and learn and use resources creatively to help their learning grow. I have good organization skills and I like to make sure that everything is neat and tidy so that there is a clean, healthy environment for the children to learn and play in.
Once Upon a Time has taught me that children can learn in a variety of different ways through play and using their imagination. I really enjoy the hands-on learning that we use within the nursery, it provides the children with an engaging experience. The nursery has taught me how to become more confident in my teaching abilities and how to be more creative while thinking outside of the box. I have learned so much since working at the nursery, and I hope to continue to learn more as I advance in my career. I truly appreciate all the support from my fellow teachers and staff as well as the support from all the parents, it truly makes the teaching experience memorable.
An aspiration I have is to advance in my career to become a deputy head or a headteacher. within the nursery and to hopefully one day own my own nursery school.
